Drug Dosing Calculator

Drug Dosing Calculator Instructions

The Drug Dosing Calculator helps you design dose formulations for plate-based experiments. Enter your stock, target doses, and well setup, and the calculator will generate the intermediate and working solutions needed to dose the plate.

Step 1: Starting Stock Conditions

Enter the concentration of your compound stock and solvent (vehicle) it is dissolved in. For example, a compound prepared in all DMSO would typically be entered as 100% DMSO.

Step 2: Target Dose Conditions

Enter the final dose concentrations you want in the wells.

Each row represents one dose group. For each group, enter the target dose, select the units, and enter the number of replicates.

Use + Add Dose Row to add more dose groups, or the remove button to delete a row.

Enter a Spare Volume % to prepare extra solution for pipetting loss or dead volume.

Step 3: Experiment Setup

Enter the well conditions for the experiment: the Starting Well Volume, the desired final vehicle concentration in the well, such as 0.1% DMSO, the Dose Volume, and the addition method.
