Summary:
Bisphenol-A is used in plastics and resins and is commonly found in consumer products. Human exposure is common in the US and adverse cardiac events have been linked to it. The cardiovascular safety of its structural analogues are unknown. Human-induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes were treated with bisphenol-A and its structural analogues on the Maestro MEA. The electrophysiological responses were compared to determine if these analogues could be safer alternatives to bisphenol-A.
