Summary:
Manual culture of human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) is highly variable and labor-intensive which poses challenges for high-thoughput applications. The use of a robotic system to automate the the essential steps of hiPSC culture allows for standardization and a streamlined approach. This allows for the manufacturing of billions of hiPSCs from multiple disease lines, as well as the functional characterization, including electrophysiology, of those lines.
