Summary:

Photo-induced cross-linking was used to stabilize oligomers and study their effects vs. fibrils on synapses and protection by Aβ-phagocytic macrophages. Activated macrophages effectively cleared Aβ oligomers and rescued synapses as a potential treatment for Alzheimer's disease.
